Gareth leads the CH2M Ports and Maritime team across Asia Pacific. Gareth has specialised in maritime design works throughout his career, beginning in the UK in 1999 before moving to Australia in 2011.

In this time he has been involved in the design of a wide range of maritime projects.  These have included the design of small recreational timber piers, passenger ferry berths, large roro ferry berths, container wharves, iron ore and coal export and import facilities as well as breakwaters, large scale reclamation works and coastal defences.  With a focus on improving quality and constructability, innovations introduced on these projects have been recognised through numerous industry awards.

Gareth has presented a number of papers at conferences around the world and was lead technical editor and contributing author for the CIRIA manual “The use of concrete in maritime engineering – a good practice guide” published in 2010.
